"who the hell is this hairy monster???????"

He is an incredibly un-funny, irritating TV presenter who, when he comes on screen, makes me unsure of whether I want to scream or vomit! lol

I guess personal taste with comedy, as with tastes of musical shows, is always going to be different. I just don't find his kind of comedy even remotely funny - but then I didn't find the humour in Hairspray even remotely funny either, so maybe he'll be ideal for it! lol

re: London's Edna No.3

Personally I find him totally unfunny and could imagine him mugging his way through the show. If the producers have seen and like him than I may well be wrong, but I won't be rushing to return if this comes to pass.

I would love to see Matthew Kelly as Edna - he's got the acting chops, the comedic background and the all-round likeability for the role.

Seen some shows in my time....

I for one cant stand the man, and he would really put me off seeing this INCREDIBLE show again!

re: London's Edna No.3

Is he famous for anything? Or is he famous for being married to someone famous?
#13

re: London's Edna No.3

Who's he married to?

If he's got the chops and the stamina and the ability to create a character then I could see this working. If not then he'll be as bad as John Altman in Chicago.

Matthew Kelly is a good idea.

Isn't Brian Conley taking over?
#15

re: London's Edna No.3

No 1 Michael Ball
No 2 Brian Conley
No 3 ...this guy!

re: London's Edna No.3

Why?
What's he done anyway, what's he famous for? I've never heard of him before.

re: London's Edna No.3

Haha, I only know this stuff because I've seen the adverts so many times, and my older brother quite liked the programmes. I watched..one or two, I don't hate him, but I don't love him either!

re: London's Edna No.3

Well if he's doing late night stuff I'm well in bed before he hits the screen. I'm too young for much of the stuff after the water garage!

re: London's Edna No.3

He is actually quite a famous TV presenter these days. Friday/Sunday Night Projects receive good ratings, as have his 'Bring Back...Star Wars/Fame/A-Team' etc.

He got given his own ITV2 talk show recently, it's fine - not properly sat down to watch it, but my general opinion on him as a TV personality is that he works best with his co-host Alan Carr. He's not really a comedian as such, more just a presenter who likes to banter.

I reckon he will do fine, it's probably quite a good idea to have a pretty famous Edna when ticket sales might dip next year...

re: London's Edna No.3

All this late night TV stuff makes me think this will limit his theatre audience. The way he's being described on here doesn't make seem like a family name.
