Long Running Shows - Creative Team Bios

I was reading the current bios for the wicked creative team and I thought it was interesting it still had Eugene Lees bio saying he lives in Providence with his wife. Obviously, he passed away earlier this year and I was curious how often these long running shows update the bios of their creative teams. From the list of works it has listed for Joe Mantello, it looks like it may have been updated last in 2019.

Yes, this is what happens. Unless someone (or their rep) sends a new bio of equal length to the press agent, or the press agent/producer reaches out to everyone asking for updated bios, it will go unchanged. For Actors specifically, the Equity contract prohibits bio-editing without the person's approval. Individual united scenic artists agmts probably have similar language.
