Posted: 6/11/09 at 6:42amHow do you know that about the LND timeline, Boy from Oz? It sounds as if you expect to be believed, as if you are privilege to insider knowledge, but it certainly doesn't tally with the latest update from Baz Bamigboye. And it has been made fairly clear that he really does have the inside track and is being deliberately fed snippets to effect. So when he specifically says that the "latest word from on high" is that Broadway will now commence less than six weeks after the Adelphi premiere, on what basis are you completely discounting that?

Insider knowledge?? Sadly, not me.
What I do have, however, is an ability to read Baz's blog. He states that the London production will open in March 2010, closely followed by a production in Toronto. The Toronto company will then transfer to New York after the try-out, which I guess to most likely be around 8-12 weeks.
I am purely speculating (note "possible timeline") that it may not make it in time for the June 2010 season cut off.
I could easily be wrong, but from the information I can gather it seems that my timeline is the most likely.

Posted: 6/11/09 at 10:30amYour assumptions make sense, Boy from Oz, but I think plans re LND have been pretty fluid in fact, if they actually aren't still. Whatever Baz has said before (or been told) his most recent quote (4th June), as the "latest news from on high", has been that Broadway is now supposed to "commence" (previews?) less than 6 weeks after the Adelphi premiere. Unless there was confusion between opening in North America generally (Toronto) and Broadway, specifically, (doubtful, surely, albeit not impossible) I think that maybe the plans that existed when the Adelphi was to open this Autumn have all been turned on their heads. There is no indication from that where Toronto fits into the scheme of things at all now.

I thought the cut off for openings for the 09-10 season was the end of April?? Tony Noms come out 2nd week in May...so a June opening would be part of the 2010-11 Season.
(If I misunderstood the post, apologies ahead of time.)
ALL of these shows cannot possibly be opening during the 09-10 season.
Can't WAIT for Whisper House.

Sorry....I was referring to LND. (I DON'T care to see that, however.)
I know nothing about the date for Whisper House.

Posted: 6/20/09 at 12:16pmmaybe LND will never make it over? Of course it will, but I thought it was in 2010, maybe then Phantom will close.
