Pfft. I thought I was going to do the same thing for my friend by getting there around 9 or 10. Oh well.

Do you really like those seats better than some of the others in the front row? Or doesn't it matter?
Doesn't REALLY matter... I get up early, anyway, so may as well just get the tickets.
For those that aren't able to get student rush tickets (because, obviously, they aren't students!), I recommend sites like Playbill.com and TheaterMania.com (I was able to get second row center for $50 when I went). There's also a lot of other good discount sites too.
The time change happens on Sunday night, doesn't it? Haha, how cool that I get an extra hour on my birthday...I think...I don't know. I am confused!
WaltSummers, I will see you there. What a party it will be...
Different seats actually are completely different experiences. I might go REALLY early just to insure we all get seats or perhaps get there right after WaltSummers to insure front row, center which would be nice for my birthday :) Walt just might be doing me a favor...

Everyone, ok. i'm leaving right now!
I'll give you a review on friday
LOL Top of page 148 three different Playbill avatars in a row!! Cool!!
Time change happens in the wee hours after Saturday midnight, so like 2am Sunday morning. Ever show up for something Sunday morning and no one was there? It's called forgetting to set your clock ("Spring forward, Fall back") and missing out on that extra hour of sleep......
Good luck to you student rushers... Enjoy it extra for me...
I forget to change my clock every year, but this year it might work to my advantage.

Variety article. Wedding Singer is closing 12/31/06
http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117952647.html?categoryid=15&cs=1
"Broadway tuner "The Wedding Singer," based on the 1998 Adam Sandler pic, will shutter Dec. 31.
Co-produced by the "Hairspray" team of Margo Lion and New Line Cinema, the tuner has struggled to attract auds since it began perfs March 30.
Recent attempts to drum up biz with the casting of "American Idol" alum Constantine Maroulis proved less effective than hoped. The show, whose weekly grosses dipped below $400,000 in September, has so far earned around $15 million during its Rialto run -- not yet enough to recoup its approximately $8 million capitalization.
The exit of "Wedding Singer" clears the deck for "Curtains," the Kander & Ebb tuner that is the most likely candidate to fill the void at the Al Hirschfeld Theater. (David Hyde Pierce starrer preemed in L.A. over the summer.)
"Wedding Singer" has music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin and book by Beguelin and Tim Herlihy, who wrote the original screenplay.
"Wedding Singer" may still inspire prospective incarnations in Asia, while stock and amateur productions will be licensed through Music Theater Intl. Producers also are in discussions for a 2007 national tour.
When it closes, "Wedding Singer" will have played 30 previews and 284 regular performances. "
Um yeah, Variety is pretty reliable.
