bway - no problem. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

jacobp - Mamma Mia! isn't going anywhere. After 5 years, it's still as strong as the day it started previews.

This seriously makes me sad, guys.

And I was so happy because I bought my bus ticket today. I'll be in the city on Sat., Nov. 11th and rushing for matinee tickets.

Thank god I got that bus ticket, I guess. This will be second and absolutely last time seeing it, no doubt about it now.

I agree, Virgil...I'd LOVE to see Matt again, but that probably won't happen. Hopefully everone else is in, and I can catch Kevin Cahoon and Richard Blake at the stage door this time.

Ok, so this news is sad enough, but something else just hit me. With Wedding Singer gone, will I come on this website much anymore? I kinda like it here, it's entertaining, but I mainly read Wedding Singer threads, along with a few others. Maybe while Les Mis is still a hot topic I'll stick around, but after that, I don't know...

How will I procrastinate?!

The nay-saying on the closing thread makes me sad. Why can't we just celebrate what's there now rather than celebrating the ushering in of a new show? I guess I'm being oversensitive 'cause I'm sad that my biggest reprieve from the stresses of college is closing. And I know everyone has an opinion, and is allowed to say it, but it's still a bummer. Let's keep these threads positive and Wedding Singer-centric!

Did anyone see The Wedding Singer last night? I heard Ms. Benanti literally stopped the show.

My friend was at the show and she said she asked one of the cast members and they said that Robyn missed her cue....but no matter what, it's funny to imagine!

we didn't notice a cue issue. we think they were just reacting to her fake nancy regan faces. she makes her look stoned not stupid.

anyway it was hilarious cause the scene was like 5 minutes longer because of it lol

one of the best moments:

when Julia tells Glen she is in love with Robbie she starts Laughing again cause Peter started again she then threw her hands in the air and goes "this is supposed to be emotional!" or um something like that.... lol

when peter goes "go ahead young man" it was in such a high voice cause he was trying not to laugh.

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

Yeah, it looked to us like the new Fake Nancy Reagan face is what caused the whole thing. Well not so much the face itself as the various reactions to it... and once Peter was gone, that was it. The entire audience was dying by that point, which just made it even harder for the cast to keep it together. AWESOME.

What cue did they say she missed? I thought she did a pretty good job for it being her second night - although I'll confess I may be biased because every time I looked at her I kept thinking how much she looked like Megan Hilty, ergo she must be amazing.

wow, i love them! that is so cute of Laura- "this is supposed to be emotional!" :) i love her
and i cant wait to see Robyn- how was she last night? funny about her being stoned Nancy Reagan :P
did the cast talk about the closing or anything at all at the stage door last night?

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

That's a good question. I wonder if anyone spoke of it at the stage door, too.

Two more days to Saturday and I get to see the show again!

"Did anyone see The Wedding Singer last night? I heard Ms. Benanti literally stopped the show."

yes!!! go laura!!! i deff heard about this!!! I LOVE that woman! lol. shes soo amazing and is soo good at improvising!! i would have LOVED to be at that show!!!!!! and i heard she did something during the finale too that had stephen cracking up. anyone know what this was?

and about the closing, WORST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!! what am i gonan do?? ive been soo upset all morning and even last night (my friend text me cause she found out but i still didnt wanna believe it). reading that variety article just about killed me. the only exciting thing is seeing what laura and the rest of the cast is gonna do next!

and as far as the threads go, this will prob stay alive for a little bit, but id love for it to last. i just doubt it will re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. id start a laura thread but we all know what those get turned into. i dont need to hear that. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

I just want to say a couple things: through the last 10 years I have seen alot of very different shows; a good variety and I can honestly say I have never had as much fun at any of them as I did at the Wedding Singer and it's a shame that the general public did not see it. The general public likes the Jersey Boys and Wicked (and so do I) but the Wedding Singer was truly a great show. It's a shame and just kinda bullsh** that it's closing! I am honestly reeling because I know that the next couple shows I see like the High Fidelity, Legally Blonde, or even the Spring Awakening is not going to be half as much fun as sitting in the Hirschfeld watching the cast of the Wedding Singer go nuts on stage.

That being said, this is the only show in which when there were understudy's I didn't get upset - I loved seeing the understudies like Ms. Maddigan who was in the words of the Wedding Singer "AWESOME!" I never thought I would say this considering that I saw the Original Broadway Cast of Rent 10 years ago (and have been more than obsessed for a decade) but the Wedding Singer is absolutly my favorite show with the nicest cast I have ever met!
I made a list of all your faults, it was quite detailed and lengthy too and when I read it through I missed you. Your like a classic Eagles song, you just cant help but sing along even though it sometimes gets annoying too. I just know I want to be wherever I can wake and see you there next to me. **High Fidelity** Love is what I do **The Wedding Singer** Xanadu - Best NEW Musical of the Season!
