That is weird cause usually if Joberg is out Kevin Kern goes on for him.

Ok, I had the most random dream last night.
I went to see the show with my best friend and we were in row D. Except that the rows were like: the first two rows were facing the stage and the two after that were off to the side.
Ok, so me and my friend were off on the side and the first two rows were filled with middle-aged women that went crazy over Stephen, during "It's Your Wedding Day" they went out of control and Stephen came off stage and gave them a hug.
And then he gave me a hug
Random.

I'd rather have that dream than my weird Lion King one.

That wasn't weird.
I liked that dream!

i had a really weird dream when i was at Wicked and then the actress, whomever it was, playing Elphaba chickened out at the part of Defying Gravity when she had to "descend up". So, when it was time to scream "It's Me!!!!!!!", there was silence.

David Eggers went on in his usual track for today's matinee as well as covering Harold Fonda. McGurk covered the rest of Nick's track.

wow, not too much longer for me till i see this again!!!!!
but i had a cool idea- what if i got some cast members to sign the rubiks cube they sell at the show, and then i could put all their signatures back together! alright, it sounds cool to me, at least...
:P
and btw, how much do the programs cost at the theatre?

Wait, I am confused. David Eggers is Matt Allen's replacement, meaning he plays the cousin Steve during Wedding Day. He was Steve AND Harold Fonda? And McGurk covered the rest of Nick's track - And why wasn't Kevin on for anything? Can neither Kevin or McGurk do the groom at the beginning? Who played the cousin Steve?
I'm very confused, lol.

Patrick, I like your Rubiks Cube idea, but I'd be careful because the signatures might smear...just something to think about.

Just got back from another outstanding performance.
Only understudy on was Tina. She was definitely doing a lot of joking around up there. Even though I will always love Laura Benanti I feel it only fair I gave Tina another shot since the first time I saw her left such a not great impression on me.
I definitely liked her more in this performance. She was very loose. I would go far enough to say her Julia is downright goofy which is good for her. It works. I enjoyed myself.
But, I still feel Laura is the superior Julia. I know all the Maddigan fans are gonna come out and bash me but I'm saying it like it is. I love Laura's take on the role. She plays it so innocently and that's why, when she jokes around, it's that much funnier because you don't expect it.
While Tina is a great comic actress, she plays the role very goofy. Laura is this sweet innocent girl next door and then you see little bursts of goofiness here and there. That's what makes me feel for her more. She can be funny, but she can also make you're heart drop when you see how heartbroken she is when she fights with Robbie.
Plus, I just feel Laura's voice is superior. She's got more power. Tina tends to trail off at times and her voice is softer. Laura's "If I Told You" is just beautifully sung. It's gorgeous and you can just feel the emotional anguish of her character. It brings a lump to the back of my throat.
So there it is. Please don't think I am bashing Tina. I'm not. I love Love LOVED her as Sophie in MAMMA MIA and I like her Julia. But, I prefer Laura's better. I feel I'm entitled to that opinion and I feel I reviewed her fairly. Tina makes me laugh and she's such a sweetie. A great understudy. But when I see Laura I can totally understand why she was offered the role.
Other than that, it was a great show.
Peter was back, thank God. He's just a superb comic actor. His impressions are just amazing. Kevin Kern does a fine job as his understudy...but I can't help but missing grandpa during Rosie's speech. And I think Peter's drunk guy and Ronald Reagan are side-splitting.
Amy was fabulous, as always. Felicia was back. Gotta love her. I really enjoyed seeing Nicolette cover her role last week. I just love them both equally.
Kevin Cahoon...what's there to say? He constantly delivers. Never a bad performance from that man.
Constantine. Well. When he first entered the role I liked how he played it. He was acting. Now it seems he truly does ham it up a tad too much. He's still good but he's going a bit over the top sometimes. His "Though at times I might want someone to hold me tight..." is longer each time I see it. He really milks it. But, he has his fangirls so what can one do about it? Still liked him...but not as much as when I first saw him.
And then there's the ensemble. It would take months for me to adequately review each one in particular. They're just the nicest, most hard working and talented cast I've come to know. Great people. Great performers. I just love them all. They're all wonderful.
Kudos to another fine performance of TWS.
