re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

On Lynch's Craig Machine tour, he would play "Grow Old W/ You" a lot and end it w/ "and I have herpes... hey i gotta make it my own!" when the crowd would react. One dead show though, he started to say it and then realized he wasnt really getting a reaction so he turns to me and goes "gotta make it my own, cara gotta make it my own!" I just looked at him and he yelled "oh put down the damn camera and actually listen to me for once"

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

We’re right on time
And that's a fact
Yes that’s my line
I’m stickin’ to it
Right on time
And so I laugh as if (at least I think...that's the only line I'm unsure on)

I believe this line is "and so I'll act as if."
I thought I knew but now I know that rose trees never grow in New York City

Wasn't Lynch in works to be doing the Wedding Singer during the Craig Machine tour? the tour finished up and he went to Seattle right?

aww I like that he sang the song in some of his shows, to get riled up for the future craze that is Stephen Lynch, Wedding Singer leading man re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

yea basically... his last "Craig" show was Dec 10th,2005 and then he headed to Seattle. He had to cancel/postpone the "west coast" leg of the "Craig" tour for the WS... I remember him talking about it since Jan of 05.. He had to cancel his part of the Jan 27th Pittsburgh, PA Lynch/Mitch show to stay in NYC for a reading (or something) to do w/ the WS. (I still lived in PA at the time so I was disappointed)

I love Richard! But yeah, he hasn't missed a show yet, so no one's seen his understudy. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

That makes sense!! Her L from "I'll" sounded like it was carrying over into the next word...I was sitting there thinking "lax as if? wtf does that mean?" so instead I went with laugh, heh. But yes, act as if makes complete and total sense and fits perfectly. Thank you!

Also, FANTASTIC pictures. I'm so happy to see Ashley back at work! I love her. re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

WOW~everyone seems to be very happy and had fun in those pictures. I wish I could be there.

One funny thing happened to me . I went to Hirschfeld Theatre yesterday. There were 2 people just came out of the box office and then standing in front of the poster and said:~~he doesn't look like Adam Sandler...he looks so young, who is he??? So Adam is not in the show? oh~I was hopeing I could see him. Then the old lady asked me: have you seen the show yet? Adam Sandler will come, right? ....I had nothing to say. Just say no,he won't...but the guy in the poster is really good!!!You should see the show. But she just say: OH~no Adam?(turned to her husband)so..why we're here, we should return the tickets! .......................there was nothing I could do~~

I just have to take a moment to say-

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNCH!!! re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

it seriously amazes me that he's 35 and yet he does not look a DAY over 20. haha
