re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

Thanks InfiniteTheatreFrenzy for the "Right On Time" Post. For those who haven't had the fortunate experience of seeing/hearing "Right On Time", the song has been described as the Debbie Gibson number by a member of another message board. I'd say it's in the style of her 80's hit "Shake Your Love".

The verses are slower as the character Julia is contemplating her relationship with Glen, while the chorus is upbeat to reassure everything is well, right on time. Brillant catchy number that really should have stayed in the show somehow.

Post your Tina Maddigan reviews, please!
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

My review of Tina? Her and Stephen sounded really nice together through my phone. LOL Of course, it was a bit warbled, so I can't wait to hear it clearly.. :p

Littlelotte, is that your picture that's your avatar? Do you have more from today you'd be willing to share?

re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. *waits patiently*

I just saw another friend of mine's photos from today (I didn't know she was taking pictures), and I really wish I'd been able to be there. Sigh! I'd post the pictures but I don't know if she wants me to..

And someone else told me during soundcheck, Stephen finished off "Grow Old With You" with "by the way, I have herpes." re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread.

^tehehehe, he's done that before too re: Love is what we do! - THE WEDDING SINGER appreciation thread. on like good morning america or something, they had little segments from wedding singer and durring the part where stephen was on he did the same thing. And he's absolutely right too, that song goes PERFECTLY with the "and also, I have herpes" ending :P

(its from his comedy, just incase anyone didn't know lol)
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Haha he totally did say that. He also during mic check like when he was playing the guitar he was doing the intros to some of his songs and I just wanted to be like "Stop teasing us Stephen and just do a little song for us!" lol. Well i tried to pos the pics and it told me image moved or deleted. I'm pissed, I'm gunna find a way to fix this I swear! lol.

And the REALLY annoying thing is, now that I think about it,I was planning on going in tmrw anyway and if I'd realized that bryant park was today I PROB coulda figured out a way to get in today instead and see it! But yeah.. I didn't realize, then I got sick.. so... but the pics are awesome :P

Some corrections on the Right on Time lyrics...

A quick goodbye
Then dialtone
Should I worry?
Well hold the phone
A lost connection won’t stand in our way
So everything’s okay
I know it comes as no surprise
I overthink
Overanalyze
I know you’re busy
And that’s the bottom line
So everything is fine
And though it seems we’re moving slow
Without a doubt, deep inside I know we’re

Right on time
Well, more or less
When I lose faith
I keep repeating
Right on time
Why second guess our love
When you and I are right on time

It seems I’m stuck just moving plates
The world goes on
The waitress waits
But it won’t matter if you call again
Not if, I mean when
And seeing how some couples live
I’m downright positive

We’re right on time
At least, I think
You’re hot and cold
But getting warmer
Right on time
Right on the brink, I’m sure
We’re kind of, sort of, close-ish
Right on time

Now I could look for hidden signs
Or try to read between the lines
But do I really want to pull at that thread
It might be better just to say instead

We’re right on time
And that's a fact
Yes that’s my line
I’m stickin’ to it
Right on time
And so I laugh as if (at least I think...that's the only line I'm unsure on)

We’re so close, we’re almost peaking
If, you know, we’re roughly speaking
Still, we’ll head right down the aisle
Or, hello, I’m in denial
The times you’re noncommital
If I give and take a little
We are right-ish!-on time

Its from Lynch's own song, Love Song and the national tv appearance of the herpes line in Grow Old With You was on FOX's Good Day NY which aired on June 9, 2006. It really does go perfectly with the song and I sometimes add it to the song for fun when I'm bored :)

oh and thanks for the slideshow. the pictures are gorgeous. is there any way you would share the full size ones?
hmm...
