Posted this in the thread discussing Rachel Dratch’s casting in “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” but fear it may have been lost in that thread and I am hoping for some advisement…
I know there is no way to predict exactly as it varies every show, but to anyone who has previous experience with how these lines usually go, can you provide me any suggestions with what might be a safe time to get in line for tickets to “Love’s Labour’s Lost” on the 23rd (first preview)?
First time waiting for Shakespeare in the Park tickets, so any other tips welcome, too! Thanks in advance.

Posted: 7/12/13 at 1:13pmIt's very hard to predict because there are several factors that go into how long the line will be. It's definitely easier during the first week or two. The constant rain will weigh heavily on this. Plus there isn't much star power in this one. I would say if you were in line by 9:30-10 you should be fine.

You can also try the Virtual Line (really a lottery, but you don't get on line).
Also, I don't know if this applies, but for Comedy of Errors, people were lining up as early as 5:30am.

^if they were that was foolish because you could get tickets to the comedy of errors through most of the run by getting there between 9 and 10.
I'd say 9 AM is a fairly safe bet for the first preview but as others have said, no way to know for sure
