Why is it that everytime I get a little hopeful, someone needs to rain on my parade? If things like The Pirate Queen and High Fidelity get relases after they close, there should be no reason why LoveMusik should be any different.
norn knows i agree with him on this. i LOVED this show and i know it was ass but i still can't help myself. the whole scene when they're in the bedroom and she's breaking his heart by being such a tramp just KILLS me.
it never was you... ¤sobs¤

There is the scene earlier in the show in the apartment when she threatens to leave, and the last 20 minutes of the show, from the apartment scene through the end. Those two (or 3) scenes were the show for me. Pittu and Blazer and everyone were fantastic, but the scenes between Weill and Lenya were the heart and soul of the show. "The Illusion Wedding Show" and the Hitler number, could easily be cut. I think these numbers need to be there:
"Surabya Johnny"
"Speak Low"
"Alabama Song"
"It Never Was You"
"September Song"
"Wouldn't you Like to be on Broadway" (I don't remember the actual song title)
I would also love Blazer's opening song to be there.
"Wouldn't you Like to be on Broadway" (I don't remember the actual song title)
Hehe, that WAS the title of the song, hun :)
I agree with your list, Rockabye. Though I'd definitely add "Nanna Lied" and "Tango Ballad" as well as a couple that I can't remember now.
The scene when Weill leaves Lenya is just breath-taking, if it hadn't been interrupted by a damn cell phone I may have enjoyed it more!

NANA'S LIED was Blazer's opening song.
And obviously SCHICKELGRUBER made it. I wouldn't mind if they cut the MORITAT, ILLUSION WEDDING SHOW, VERY, VERY, VERY, BUDDY ON THE NIGHT SHIFT, and HOSANNAH ROCKEFELLER, as well as some of the Gershwin stuff.
VERY, VERY, VERY seemed, no pun intended, very shoehorned into the show. And the HOSANNAHS were greats in the theatre for those who "got" it. I don't think many did - unless you know the sarcastic nature of them from HAPPY END.

"Tango Ballad"!, I knew I forgot something!
Of course, I would love if they did the entire show, but if they had to do a highlights version, those would be my choices.
