Hi all,

I have a choice of seeing one of these two shows, and am wondering if someone who has seen them could recommend one over the other.

thanks in advance

I've seen 110 and a friend whom I trust implicitly has seen LoveMusik.

No question here. 110. Hands down.

i would recommend 110 In the Shade over LoveMusik. as much as i loved LoveMusik, 110 In the Shade is friggin' amazing.

Absolutely 110. It's a stunning production with gorgeous performances. I've seen them both and 110 is the winner.

I saw both and while I loved the performances in LM, I didn't care for the production itself. I found both the performances (Audra is phenomenal) and the production wonderful. I'd have to go with 110 without a doubt.

Whichever you decide to see...enjoy! re: Lovemusik or 110?

Both are worth seeing, but 110 is more satisfying, over all.

I keep jumping back and forth. I love Prince, Uhry, Murphy, Cerveris and Weill's music but everyone's recommending 110 in the shade...

yeah if you saw 110 In the Shade, you'd know how amazing it is. i wasn't even a fan of that musical until i saw what Roundabout did. i was in tears the whole show. it's so moving and beautifully staged.

not to discredit LoveMusik as i felt THAT was beautifully staged, but i didn't find myself crying during that performance like i did at Audra.

I didn't want to start my own thread so I'm threadjacking this one.

I'm really having difficulty with this decision...Should I see Lovemusik, Coram Boy, or Inherit the Wind?

CORAM BOY! It's beautiful, amazing, and truly one of the great theatrical experiences of our lifetimes!

And I agree with everyone else, Audra's performance alone is the reason to see 110 In The Shade (it also contains one of my all-time favorite scores - "Old Maid", "Love, Don't Turn Away", "Little Red Hat", just to name three...)

Thanks Tommy!

Just wanted to add that I was kind of embarassed by how many times I had to wipe my eyes during 110. re: Lovemusik or 110?

Thanks! I was leaning toward Coram Boy but I've read some mixed reviews on this board so I wasn't sure.

Yeah...I was hesitant about it at first, but it had me enthralled from virtually moment one. Read the board outside and you should have NO problem following it. :) Xanthe alone is worth seeing it for. She is AMAZING!
