Right...I knew that. I swear I did.
What's the link? To the Universal Pictures, I mean.
Edit: Nevermind. Te he
Universal Pictures produces the Broadway show, therefore they are publicising it through their website.
They have done it before.
It's not the first time someone has come on here thinking that a WICKED movie is already in the works.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEXT....
On the Universal Studios tour in LA, there are wicked billboards all over the place, they have a window of props from the show and pictures, and the trailer is shown on the video screen on the tram ride. It's been there for quite awhile.
They want to turn the novel into a movie - not the musical. It will be a non-musical movie. But it is only planned. Not even in development yet.
I think that a "Wicked" movie is inevitable, but my guess is that it won't come for another few years.

Nope. ORIGINALLY they were going to turn the novel into a movie. They even had a screenplay. When Stephen Schwartz approached Universal about turning it into a musical, they scrapped the film plans. At this point, there is no way they wouldn't make the musical into a movie before a straight adaptation of the novel. It just won't happen. The stage musical has been such a success it would be difficult to not do the musical as a film.
