Didn't they just do some big promotion at the end of june when it became the 15th longest running show? I've only seen the movie (and hated it), so I have to ask if it was an expensive show to produce or if it was really cheap. I could see either with this show. I just don't get how people can enjoy a musical with ABBA songs just because they are familiar. Jersey Boys works because it has songs by the Four Seasons telling their story. Rock of Ages works because it's about the 80's rock era and a rock star. Mamma Mia's music doesn't have anything to do anything to enhance the story.

I doesn't matter if it's cheap or expensive to run, they bring in over $1 Million almost every week.

Congrats. One can quibble over the artistic merits of the show (or the 13 ahead of it, for that matter) but it's a terrific achievement. Since it's still running at almost 100% capacity, one wonders where it will eventually wind up on the list. My guess is high, like third or possibly even second behind "Phantom".

For some reason I expected it to be higher on the list than it actually is.
But good for them! They seem like they're still having fun doing it, and the audience loves it. So all the more power to them.
I can see this one becoming one of the longest running shows. Who cares if it's not the best thing out there. It's a great escape where people have fun watching it and enjoy hearing the music.

Just saw this show in March on Broadway and loved it. Good for them. While it isn't my favorite show by any means its just fun.
Genius lasts longer than beauty.
