I enjoyed the show in London, and I'm happy that it had a healthy Broadway run.

If you haven't heard John von Soosten and Howard Sherman's 2007 interview with Richard M. Sherman and George Stiles, it's worth a listen.

I had never seen POPPINS until last Wednesday. And I was quite glad I saw it before it closed. It was very far from perfect, but I enjoyed myself and appreciated the show and performances very much. The special effects were great and imaginative and the cast was strong. There were moments when it dragged, for sure, but overall, I enjoyed myself. I wasn't kicking myself for seeing it any earlier; once was enough for me. But I am glad I did finally get to the New Amsterdam before this one packed up. Congrats to them on a great run, and here's hoping Aladdin is just as good as I imagine it could be!
