I sat dead centre front row for Memphis (student rush tickets at $27) and they were just fabulous! It was absolutely fabulous to be that close. I felt Montego was performing "Coloured Women" just for me, gave me shivers!
Go for it! They are great seats.

Posted: 1/4/11 at 11:52amAs I remember, the only reason they are partial view is you can't completely see the back of the stage because the rise is so high. You'll be craning your neck, but it's still a good seat.

I really enjoyed sitting in the front row.
The energy was amazing and infectious.
I am told that all I missed was the back of the set but I can't imagine it's anything that important.
Do stretch your neck before you go though. It's a bit taxing but doable and WORTH IT!

Posted: 1/4/11 at 12:52pmthere is one scene where a large trunk is put downstage center which cuts off your view but it's not a big deal, the seats are amazing

Posted: 1/4/11 at 6:50pmThe trunk really doesn't obstruct anything major unless you're sitting way on the left though. Center is fabulous, go for it!

It's a great spot, but it does indeed strain your neck. The intimacy makes up for it though. You do miss some of the dancing in the back. So its give and take, but go for it.
