Luscious, I never called you cheap and whiny. You assumed that label yourself. Funny how you assume I was referring to you when I said that.
When I discussed "people" paying tons of $$ monthly for iphones and internet service but too cheap for NETFLIX in the other thread, I was referring to my friends. You're the one who somehow thinks everyone is talking about you.
Stop being so myopic. This isn't about you.
For the record no one has ever called you names. When others express a critical opinion, you take it as a personal attack against you.
You're the nasty one making statements directly about Jordan.

Oh and since you seem to need to know what's going on in my life Lucious, I did lose my job recently but luckily I have money saved and am at the moment receiving unemployment while I'm going back to school studying sign language so I can interpret theatre for the deaf.
Anything else you want to know about me?
#28MEMPHIS on NETFLIX?!?!
Posted: 7/18/11 at 4:18pmThinly veiled insults and name calling is cowardice. Are the "friends" that you refer to as "cheap and whiny" members of BWW? Do they read these threads? If not, then your comments are directed towards, and intended for, those who are and do. So enough of the bulls#it already. Okay, Precious?

Not really. Sorry to hear you lost your job. But you offered up the info -- I didn't ask. Here's a tip; if you're going to put out personal information about yourself on the internet don't be surprised or offended when someone brings it up. (Talk about "fake outrage".) And good for you for going back to school and studying sign language and taking up such a noble profession. But I contend that if you're currently unemployed and spending upwards of $30 a month on NETFLIX (regardless of how much money you've managed to save), you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I never said I was offended. Where did I say I was offended?
And as for you saying I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed - Wouldn't one call that name calling? The very thing you just called people out for? But now you're doing it. I don't understand - Are you for it or against it? (Being the dullest tool in this "shed" I get so confused sometimes)

Can the kindergarden class trip please return to its classroom on the OT board at the very least?
And Jordan - I think of you more as the sharpest tool in the nerf factory

When you’re right, you’re right. I should have worded that last sentence differently. What I should have said is... But I contend that if one is currently unemployed and spending upwards of $30 a month on NETFLIX (regardless of how much money one may have managed to save); they're not the sharpest tool in the shed. That's how you and your pal would have done it, right?
By the way... have you heard? MEMPHIS is available for instant streaming on NETFLIX. But the picture and sound quality suck. Mwahahahah!

Yes Miss Eris. I will behave! Thanks for gettuing us in line :) Back to the topic. My cousin watched MEMPHIS from Netflix and thought the quality was very good. She was just happy to see it.
Jordan is super sharp in my book. Oh and in general those who look for personal information on others to use it against them are typically very angry and sad individuals. *

I have heard that, Lucious. I started to watch it yesterday and the picture and sound quality were perfect HD quality on my 55" LED screen. It's the show that's horrible.
And how do you know that I'm not cutting back on other things in order to maintain my netflix membership? Or how do you even know that I'm the one paying for it? Or how do you know that I'm not splitting it with someone?
Ah that's right. You don't know any of that. Blind judgements are kool!

Thanks for proving the point I made in my last post so brilliantly.
ETA: Jordan... I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about some hypothetical, imaginary person, who isn't a member of BWW and doesn't read these threads. Sorry for the confusion.

one OH, SNAP! for Jordan... I think its time that Luscious taps out of the ring....
I just watched MEMPHIS on netflix on my ipad. my video quality was great.
and who the f*ck spends $30/mo on netflix? Last I checked, it was 7.99 for unlimited streaming, and 1 DVD a month.... I'm broke, but I can find 8 bucks a month for unlimited movies.
and yes yes, i know they are changing their plan, but not until Sept 1st! take full advantage while you can.
#40MEMPHIS on NETFLIX?!?!
Posted: 7/18/11 at 5:21pmI do. My plan is 3 blu rays at a time plus streaming which is $27.99 a month.

Wow Jordan, that's a lot of movies!
I use Netflix on my AppleTV and the quality of the video is amazing. I don't get the DVD or Blu Rays because they just sit in my apt and never get returned so instant watch is the best option . Plus with iTunes on AppleTV you can rent movies AND TV shows. That's so much easier than walking up to your mailbox, getting a DVD, putting that into your DVD player... and then to return it and get another DVD; It's just time consuming.
as far as Memphis goes, the sound quality was fine for me and the songs in the show were great, but i couldn't finish watching it, i might have lost interest.
Was it me or was Chad acting like a retard (not making fun, just wondering if that was his inspiration for the character lol)? and why did that show win Best Musical was there really nothing else?

Posted: 7/18/11 at 7:08pmAm canceling when the change goes into effect but I wouldn't call myself cheap and whiny. Just not thrilled being a 6-year customer and getting a 50% price increase mere months after a 10% increase. Just don't want to give them my money anymore. Treating your customers like $hit with no repercussions doesn't help anyone.

How are they treating their customers like sh*t? They're upping their prices... like any company does. They're giving ample time for you to make a decision on whether or not you want to keep the service.

THAT is your connection, not a problem because of Netflix. I can stream HD on my computer and Blu-Ray Player.
Ditto that. The quality of my Netflix streaming is excellent. And not that it's any of my business what other people choose to do with their money, I'm certainly in no position to judge them on it. If you want Netflix, get it. If you don't want Netflix, don't get it. If you can't afford it, then you can make your own decisions regardless how a complete stranger feels about it. Mountains/molehills.
Just for the record, I'm also recently unemployed (without receiving unemployment benefits) and subscribe to Netflix, so unless anyone around here is my mother or my boyfriend (please note: NEW boyfriend, thank you very much), I don't care what they think about it. Now, I know I run the risk of having all that personal crap I threw out there for the world to see, but if anyone wants to use it against me over a discussion regarding a video rental service, then I'll probably just laugh.

He's not supposed to be retarded but he's never played him any other way.
