Posted: 6/4/18 at 6:15pmI was just walking by 42 street studios and saw some of the cast leaving rehearsals and I spotted sheet music/lyrics to Lady Gaga’s song BAD ROMANCE. Makes sense because the lyrics fit perfectly with the story of Christian and Satine. And it’s exciting that they’re adding newer pop songs :) just thought I’d share!

Nice, I think someone had said earlier that "Firework" by Katy Perry is also being used.

This is only time I'm happy that they're going with a jukebox score, in the spirit of the original movie. But it does raise the question...
What percentage of the score must be "new" to qualify for the best original score Tony? Frozen's score still contains all of the songs from the original movie, but it's up for nomination. I'd imagine Moulin Rouge probably won't be in it unless they also write a few original songs.. but, for example, is three new songs mixed with 15 other jukebox songs enough to qualify it? I'm going with no.

I thought it was at the 50% mark that would qualify a show for best new score.

Bad Romance is in the show, along with Chandelier, Raise Your Glass, and Crazy/Rolling In the Deep. I don't know about Firework.

Firework and Raise Your Glass? Is this Moulin Rouge or Glee?! Now I'm a little iffy on this...
