MR.ROXY : PLEASE COME BACK TO THE BOARD

He also loved to mute people. And read their comments while logged out.

He's not as insufferable as a certain curmudgeon in this boat, but there is a tone of superiority that I don't think he's aware of.

Mildred Plotka said: "I think part of the conflict people had with him was his need to lament how much things cost and such. Over. And over. And over. I don't get why people don't just avoid threads on things they don't care for. I took a break from the boards when the Hamilton threads were non stop. For a while, even threads about other shows, would turn into Hamilton threads.

Ha. Non Stop. Ha. Get it.

Not sure I understand this.

Just because this person doesn't contribute anymore doesn't mean he still doesn't read here every day and you can bet he's reading this tombstone epic right now--an ego thing.

I come here every day, my time approx 5am ,read down till some topic catches my eye[here and off topic-and NOT about your election]-and contribute when I want. Certainly not like a few who seem to pipe up on EVERY thread I read.

It's that simple so why does one have to state they are 'taking a break' ?

To read or not to read, that is the question and only you can answer that.

This came up in another (off topic?) thread....and it had only been a week or two since his last post. He's also disappeared before. (Which he is more than entitled to do.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Ops ! my bad---YOU'RE the one who is in his ear, privately chatting and telling us all he is sick of the bullying and 'taking a break'--you are now obviously his mouthpiece so are you Mr Roxys' stand-by/understudy/go-to/key grip ?

If so can you let us all know when you are performing as 'roxy heart'? Hope I can afford a ticket--the prices for Broadway these day are OUTRAGEOUS !! Look at Hamilton !

i was gonna say it doesn't feel like too long since he last posted, and he's taken breaks before. sometimes people do that on boards like this.

i've never had any personal problems with him and his many decades worth of theatrical viewing have given him insight. I will say that his reason that he and his wife didn't see Hamilton (something about she mentioned it in another theater's restroom and some ladies there berated her for not having seen it) did seem a little silly. considering he's seen most major shows of the last 50 years you'd think he would see that one too since it's so big.

MR.ROXY : PLEASE COME BACK TO THE BOARD

People come and go from message boards all the time. Not sure why we need threads about it. If someone doesn't like someone or something someone says block them. It was one of the best features this board ever implemented.

If you miss someones posts here. PM them. I know this is a theatre board but the dramatics." PLEASE COME BACK" I have seen how he/she has spoken to people on here over the years. I dont understand the Welcome Wagon to come back.

Now going to the New York Times Message Board to see if I can convince Anna Quindlen to come back. : )

If Mr Roxy isn't posting messages here, what makes you think he'll see this thread begging for him to come back?

"Mr Proxy" would be a wonderful handle.
