It used to be that NBC ran the Macy's parade and only the Macy's parade, while CBS ran snippets of several parades around the country, including bits of Macy's (but not the B'way segments). I don't remember when CBS began running their own, non-parade Broadway segments, but I remember seeing Brian Stokes Mitchell sing "The Impossible Dream" when he was doing Man of LaMancha.

About those DRS lyrics, I think they kinda were supposed to suck. If I were a lyricist, I wouldn't be very pleased to have to change my lyrics for some crappy parade, regardless of how famous it is.
I got the impression the nose thing was intentionally cheesy.
Ooh! Spelling Bee!

Glad Todd got to perform!
I like how Harvey Fierstein looms in the background of the CBS coverage.

they said kristin chenowith is coming up on the NBC coverage...maybe there is hope for bee too!!!
Yes it did....the coverage is pretty much on hold right now.
A tangent....anyone else find it ironic that "The Man who Saved Christmas", a movie about a toymaker, is being sponsored by K-Mart?

Therese Cbs is in their 4th year of taped broadway productions. Down from 5 to 2.
Now all the performances have aired on the east coast.
SO between 9-10 was the four nbc productions and wicked on cbs. and at around 11 25 bee on cbs.
so our central people can expect bee in about 30 mins. and for those mountain and pacific there is the breakdown.
jai's mini rap was my fave.
