Again, from GYPSY (all Broadway productions):
The strobe lighting when the younger members, dancing in place, are replaced by the older actors to signify the passage of time. It gave me goose bumps everytime I saw it(Merman 5 times, Lansbury 2 times, Tyne Daly 5 times, Bernadette Peters 1 time).
I wonder if that effect will be used at this July's GYPSY. Unfortunately I won't be able to see it.
