Does anyone know if any shows Broadway/off-Broadway or websites (roundabout or Broadwaybox)that have mailing lists. I don't mean email newsletters/mailing lists, but discount ads sent to my house. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
Highly unlikely. They are already "losing" money by offering a discount....they are not likely going to spend MORE money to mail you the notice.

I know someone who gets them, but she does not seem to remember where she signed up to get them. I have looked, but have not found anything. Hoping someone would know something about it.
I get them all the time but I've never signed up for anything specifically. There are a lot of mailing lists that buy your name if you buy tickets, purchase theater related material, sign up for newletters and give your address etc.
Certain companies will collect your information (from various ways) and whenever they have press and/or discounts to send out, they choose how to send it. Options being snail mail, e-mail, phone call, promotional posters, commercials, you know how it works...
Regarding snail mail, most companies rely on e-mail nowadays. Postage is an expense. I know some companies who will send out a mass mailing of their season brochure to ALL subscribers. Other companies will only send out locally. New York companies generally just mail to NY area residents within a certain radius. They may also include other zip codes, such as D.C., Philly, NJ, the Berkshires -- areas where they get regular visitors (ESPECIALLY during the summer).
So the answer to your question is not really answerable unless someone here works for a particular company and knows what they do.
I suggest that you contact any companies that you are interested in and tell them you want to be put on a mailing list. They will add you, trust me!

Thanks for the info! I will see if I can get into contact with someone.
www.playbill.com sends emails with discounts if you become a member, not sure if that's what you are looking for.
I posted this a few months ago and didnt really get any good info
BUT a family member who gets them gives them to me and said she started getting them after ordering tickets on telecharge with a credit card
All of the flyers (which I love to hold onto) have the same return address::
c/o Telecharge.com Mail Dept.
411 Hackensack Avenue
Hackensack, NJ 07601-6328
I would assume that maybe if you sent a letter to that address asking to be added to their list, im sure that might work out for ya
If you decide to do so and hear anything back please let me know :)
