A friend of mine recently received a signed playbill from Company via mail for a donation to BroadwayCares. I was wondering if anyones similarly has heard or had success from Music Man or SIX.

As an aside do many/any Broadway actors actually read and respond to mail via the stage door. This actually is a bit of a thing that I've never really heard of before... I guess it's become an alternative to stage dooring for now.

Actors have been receiving notes, gifts and mail sent to them via the theatre’s stage door for decades. This isn’t a rare new scenario due to COVID.  Do they read them aloud and do a Q&A outside the stage door?  Of course not.  Mail your letter addressed to them and they’ll 100% get it.  Will they respond?  Each actor is different.  Some will.  Some won’t.  Some will send back a signed Playbill if you include a postage-paid shipping envelope with your letter.  Some won’t.  Whatever you send is at your risk.  No one is obligated to respond to you if they don’t want to.

It's called fan mail and it's been around for ages. Most Broadway actors will eventually answer one, if you send the request (and a self-addressed stamped envelope) to the stage manager to have a playbill signed by the whole cast a donation will be probably required. I don't know if Six does, I'm sure someone will be able to tell you.

One of the longest threads on this board is entirely about fan mails and it's been going on since 2005, but the practice itself has been going on for centuries.

Most "star" actors either have assistant(s) to deal with fan mail, or they simply outsource it to a fan mail service and they never see it.

Six does send out playbills, but a $60 donation is required. I had mailed them before red buckets started in April, and received that as a reply in my SASE. I know for sure during the red buckets, they required the donation.
