Wicked IS wonderful.....All of you just dont like it because it is not "real theater" or something......well that is just stupid and could someone please tell me what "real" theater is? i am very curious

CATS is the worst musical. Ever.

I really don't have any problem with Wicked - I've seen it twice, and I love it. The music, the sets, the characters, the cast, and the plot are clever and well-done.

You just continue to assume what everyone else thinks and feels and see how far that gets you.

The fact is, if you haven't gotten it by now from many other posts on this thread, in the past year or so we have had problems with people who join JUST to shill shows. The fact that this poster joins just to make us aware of some big announcement to come hits us as a bit suspicious, burned as we've been in the past.

And what I say rings true as well. If Margochanning posted it, or if you posted it, everyone would be lining up to stroke you with gratitude even if you never did follow it up with anything. Clear enough for you?

added: and to be clear, he didn't join to tell us about an announcement, he joined to ask us if we knew anything about it. He figured this site would be an information base. Instead he was criticized. Clear enough for you?

Well, our new poster is from Texas, so if there's some "major announcement" being anticipated, I'll bet that Meryl Streep has finally agreed to the Witch in an Odessa production of Into The Woods. :) Just a guess.

So many people here are admitted attention/fame whores (who, me?) but the shills are just tiresome. Margo is a respected poster, probably the most respected and he is a LEGEND. So many people on here day to day join to claque a show or harass people (whateverman, anyone?) I think the impulse is to be very skeptical. And btw, I never stroke Rath for any of her info/comments. Ask anybody.

That doesn't even make sense. If we posted something the day we joined, no one would know us from Adam and would not be lining up to stroke us with gratitude or whatever. We would be looked at with the same suspicion in the same situation.

Irex was not criticized - but questioned. And interesting enough - BTX25 happened to also join today to say to IREX "be sure to fill us in when you find out". Isn't that a trifle odd? And neither of them seem to be posting anywhere else around here...and still, no announcement.

So Bwayboi - do you think this guy may have something to do with that guy who ran the little Odessa Texas theater into the ground with all the lies and financial problems?

I'm just curious...

Everyone, please stop. Please read my original post.

Major Broadway Announcement on January 5, Thursday. (not today). I heard this on XM Radio on the On Broadway Channel. All I asked was does anyone know what this is about.

I live in San Antonio, TX and happened to listen to it on XM this morning around 8 AM (Wednesday, January 4). I am not an actor or in any way connected to the business. I just like Broadway. Now everyone - Chill Out. - We'll see what is announced tomorrow.
