"I can't believe no one has mentioned "Betrayed" from THE PRODUCERS. In fact, it originally contained a section which directly parodied "Rose's Turn", but that bastard Arthur Laurents would not give permission (even though Sondheim and the Jule Styne estate said it was OK). "

Not only was this the immediate and ideal choice for this query, but I've heard before of this removed section from one of my absolute favorite shows. Does anyone (possibly from Chicago) happen to know what it consisted of? It appears to be the only piece of information omitted from the "behind-the-scenes" coffee table book.

Wig, you beat me to it. Impossible Dream is amazing. Also, seeing as I went to Beauty and the Beast yesterday and it's fresh in my mind..."If I Can't Love Her" is BEAUTIFUL!!! I had forgotten how good the new music (not from the movie) in that show is.
