Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon...a couple?

I know Jerry wrote the music for Mario's show, but they seem to go EVERYWHERE together.

They've been a couple and lived together for a few years (and they're quite out about it, by the way, so I'm not revealing anything they haven't revealed themselves).

There was a nice article about Mario Cantone around the time "Laugh Whore" opened (can't remember where I read it -- the Times, maybe?) where Cantone gave a tour of their apartment, described pictures of them together and spoke casually and fondly about their relationship. They seem quite happy together.

That's so cool! I'm happy for Mario. I met him once and he's very nice. It'd be cool to see him again. I wish Laugh Whore won and I wish I had showtime so I could have seen it. Maybe it will be released on dvd. Mario if you're reading this, are you able to release Laugh Whore on dvd? Just wondering.

They're a darling couple....

As for Laugh Whore on DVD, it's supposed to be released on DVD later in the year. If you have io digital cable, it's been playing on Showtime On Demand.... unfortunately, they cut the show from 2 hours 20 minutes, down to an hour and a half for airing. I was piiiisssssed about that.

And as for Mario being annoying, it's really just a stage persona. When you're talking to him NOT acting, he's such a down to earth doll! I adore him!

Wow...That is a seriously rude thing to say. Mr. Dixon is obviously very happy with Mr. Cantone, seeing that they live together as domestic partners and wear wedding bands.

Mario and Jerry were at the table across from me last week at Angus. I didn't interrupt their dinner to introduce myself (since many did during their dinner). We ordered the same desert, a delicious smores thing.
