Hey, I can't seem to find anything - all the articles are from like 1997 - but does The Mark Taper Forum have any sort of rush policy? I didn't want to drive down there without knowing anything. Does it differ for each of their 3 theaters or what?
Also, what's the Pantages policy? Or does it differ with each show?
Centre Theatre Group offers 20.00 hot tickets, used them at both the theatres. Great way to see shows in LA. as for the pantages the only rush I have know of was for Book of Mormon.....

Yup! Not only cheap but crappy seat, which will probably be far left or right which have obtructed views or in the caverns of the balcony which are not the best place to sit. Of course there's always the option of buying and then moving to an empty seat.
As someone previously mentioned Goldstar which is free really has good seats although limited. The quicker you buy, the better your seats that you get will be. For some shows in smaller venues Goldstar even offers COMP seats.
Goldstar is a good option but it is certainly NOT free. They add a service charge like everyone else and in some cases, especially for cheaper tickets under $30, it can come out to 25-30% or more of the price of the ticket. There is the same service charge applied on the comp tickets too. Also, there is NO correlation between how early you buy and the seat you get. Goldstar sends the information over to the venue of everyone who has bought tickets to that event all at the same time (usually a day or so before or early the day of the event) and the venue pulls the name off the list in whatever order they choose. I have gotten some great seats with Goldstar and also some real stinkers, but most of the time, they are decent seats. I will applaud their customer service which is very responsive and helpful.
The Center Group Hottix which was mentioned is absolutely the best theater deal in town. I have used it many, MANY times. $20, no service charge, you can buy them over the phone 3 weeks in advance and they send them to you. They don't tell you where the seats are but for $20 who's going to complain.
I've already seen Scottsboro Boys and I've seen Joe Turner before, so I'm not that excited to see them again, although I did love them both. But I want to see new stuff. And I've seen Priscilla. It's more an excuse to see the theaters and stuff. But I'm def interested in Sleepless in Seattle. Anyone seen it?

Sleepless in Seattle literally started previews 2 days ago. PLEASE tell us how it is 'cause all of us in LA on this board are eager to hear and then see for ourselves.
