Posted: 7/19/06 at 12:05pmI don't have a clue what you want to know. But of what I can understand which is Marry Poppins and tkts. MAry Poppins will probably not be on tkts for quite some time. That means a couple of years.

nope, i mean tickets are for sale at ticketmaster through April 2007. You can get tickets for back of house and mezz. I want to take my two kids - but want closer seats. I just wanted to know if anyone had any heads up for when May 07 and beyond will go on sale.

There are some random weeknights that have decent seats in the mezz. Weekends look pretty well booked though.
My guess is a new block of tickets will go on sale this fall, before it opens (with another new block onsale just after the opening).
ThankstoPhantom

other houses are 5 - disney recommends older, but you can bring younger at their productions. the 4-year-old has already been to a b'way show - she has a better attention span than most adults and loves theater - just saw a production of seussical and adored it.

I can't imagine any 3 or 4 year old enjoying MP. In fact, they won't enjoy it. I'm 53, and I hated it; and, not because it was too young for me; but, because it was to dark, dull and un-fun for me. I would not advise taking anyone under the age of 10 to see this show. Well, I'd advise anyone of any age, to just skip it, unless they are making major changes to it.

Dull and unfun? Are we talking about the same show?
I also don't think you know what an opinion is, that's your opinion but there are obviously plently of people who enjoy it, and to tell people to skip out on it just because YOU didn't enjoy it is ridiculous.

Posted: 7/19/06 at 1:55pmHuh? Of course it is my opinion, I wrote it. Who's opinion would it be? And, why is it ridiculous to tell people to skip it? I wish someone had convinced me of that, before I wasted my time and money on it. Have you seen it? Of course, people will do what they want, and I'm sure it will be a great big hit. That doesn't mean it's any good. CATS was a great big hit. MP is better than CATS. I still say that no 3 or 4 year old will enjoy this show. There's nothing for them to enjoy.

Posted: 7/19/06 at 2:51pmI have a 28, 26 and 16 year old. They were all 3 and 4 at one time. I love the film. They are not the same thing. The film is fun, and colorful and bright, and it has Julie Andrews! The show is dark and somber and dreary, and it has nobody.
