This is fantastic news! Ashley was incredible in Beauty and the Beast. So glad Gavin is coming to NYC to reprise his role. I am so excited to see this!

I am so excited for her!!! I saw her in On The Record and she was absolutely outstanding! And I hear Gavin Lee is teriffic as well. I'm very excited for this!

Why isn't Ms. Kelly reprising the role? I loved her in FIDDLER and was really looking forward to her playing Mary here in NYC.

Laura Michelle Kelly has just released an incredibly boring album in the UK and clearly has over priorities beyond recreating Mary Poppins.

There is also ongoing chat the she left on bad terms. However thats all speculation and people *always* seem to have an axe to grind with this performer.

That's a shame. I have the London Cast Recording of POPPINS and I couldn't wait to see Kelly live.

I'm not familiar w/ Ashley Brown but I'll still watch the production. I'm sure CM and co. would not have cast someone who is not at least as good, if not better than, the original Mary.

Ashley Brown will be amazing. Could she LOOK any better for the part? AND her voice is incredible! NOW I am looking forward to seeing Mary Poppins!

Wow, this is great news for Ashley Brown! I had the great pleasure of seeing her in Beauty and The Beast in march, and she was superb as Belle. I'm sure she'll be wonderful in the role of Mary Poppins. I'm definatly gonna have to get back up there to see her once it opens.

I wish they had found an American Actor for Gavin for Bert.
I mean an American for Bert.
So does an American get to go to London now that Gavin comes here?
