Sooooo excited that Gavin Lee is recreating the role of Bert. He's my favorite part of the cast recording, and I'm looking forward to finally seeing him live.

Truly excellent news about Gavin Lee. The man IS Bert, no doubt about it. His dancing, especially in "Step in Time" is just amazing.

Gavin Lee was the best thing about the show in London (IMO). He's fantastic...totally channels Dick Van Dyke as well!

She is going to be INCREDIBLE! I was so happy to hear the news! Can't wait to see Gavin too!

awww! i love ashley! we grew up in the same home town and church. she graduated high school 2 years before i entered high school and i grew up hearing her sing and she truly is a most humble sweetheart. got to see her do belle in the fall and on the record in atlanta last year and i'm going back in a couple of weeks with my drama teacher to see her.
i'm so happy for her
she called us a couple of weeks ago about mary poppins. i totally called this. when it first opened in london, i said, "mark my words: if Mary Poppins comes to Broadway, Ashley Brown WILL be Mary Poppins"
She is practically perfect in every way :)

I wish that instead of moving lion king it could close instead. I know that it wont for years and years but I just hate the show so much.
