The Hal Prince "Candide" redid the Broadway to be an in the round environmental seating. One of the show's financial problems was they couldn't keep enough seats to meet their weekly nut.
I also think "Dude" used a similar idea in the Broadway as well as "Via Galactica" in the Uris/Gershwin.

Posted: 9/18/12 at 12:28pmIt isn't that big a project to reconfigure a few rows of seating to accommodate a centre aisle. Also most theatres can accommodate a stage floor that will allow for lifts. It isn't a huge structure like the house in Billy Elliot or the car in Chitty so shouldn't require additional depth.

Posted: 9/18/12 at 10:41pmanyone else suprised at the amount of adverstising for the show already. it doesn't open for 7 months and there's billboards everywhere & commercials airing already.
