Quick question to all, I am new to the boards! I wrote note to my idol, Matthew Morrison about how much I admire his work and will be putting it in the mail this week, along with a SASE, Do you know if Matthew Morrison responds? I wrote him a letter and was really hesistent about asking for anything, but I did in my PS section, I asked if he had anytime that he could send me an autographed headshot or playbill, I understand he's busy and told him not to feel bad if he doesnt have the time to respond

Well, if you include a large pre-paid shipping envelope (not a regular size envelope), he'll not only send back an autographed headshot but a signed Playbill as well. Simply mention you'd like these on the PS section of your letter. The fact that you are providing a large pre-paid shipping envelope for him to use is courteous enough on your part and he'll appreciate this immensley.
Good luck!

Thanks guys, one most quick question how many stamps do I have to put on the envelope to Matthew and how many do I have to put on the SASE? Do you have to include cash in the envelope so they will send it back?
Chinkie Azn Jai---how long did it take for you to get a headshot from Mr. Morrison?

Nope -- don't include cash. Thats insulting and utterly discusting.
You simply need to send your letter in a large shipping envelope which is large enough to contain inside the large shipping envelope he will be using to return the photo and Playbill. Pre-address the large shipping envelope he will be using to send the stuff back so that he doesn't have to do it. You then go to the post office and they will tell you the cost of postage for each envelope.

Posted: 7/7/08 at 2:50pmYou do not need to send cash! Putting money in the mail is a monumentally bad idea and only good for having your mail stolen! The standard amount of postage is required for your letter. You could put a few extra on the SASE if youre asking for a signed playbill because it will be a heavier piece of mail.

So, you weigh the SASE envelope seperately and then weigh the envelope to the person with the SASE inside it. Should a manila envelope work?
