Reminds me of the artwork for ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.

I love McMullen, but was hoping for a little more thoughtful creativity as with his designs for A New Brain and Parade.
I actually prefer the RNT design.

Aw, it's way pretty.
She isn't just kicking the dog, though, she's stepping right on it, completely maiming and crippling it permanently. Which, honestly, is good, because that's a direction that this particular musical has never been taken in.

I was expecting something a litle...moodier or more romantic. This certainly looks like a happy revival of SOUTH PACIFIC.
And I don't get the dog.

It looks like a semi- unfinished watercolor that a Seabee might have painted while stationed in the South Pacific.
