Oh no! That really makes me sad. She told me she was meeting with her agent a few weeks ago but didn't specify for what. I was hoping it was going to be a new role.

Considering that there are four companies of Wicked out there in the country, it wouldn't shock me to hear that she might be going back. It is a guaranteed paycheck for her.

You guys are being too hard on her. I thought she did great in 9 to 5 and I'm sure she'll originate another role eventually. I don't blame her for going back to Wicked. It isn't wrong to have a job.

Alright stop specualting that she might return to Wicked, she said to me last night she was 99% percent she was returning to Wicked and probably the Broadway one, which I don't know when since Erin just started not even a month ago.

I heard a rumor of some sort of cable show. But I'm sure it's in the early stages and it may never happen.
I also heard she is moving back west.

I think that it would have been a better thing for her had 9 to 5 ran longer. That way it would have generated in people's heads that she can do things that aren't Wicked. However, I feel that due to the short and unsuccessful run of 9 to 5 that it isn't going to happen. That she will always be associated with Wicked.

According to a few different "unreliable sources" on WoO, Katie Rose Clarke is returning to the tour at the end of the year for short run then off to Broadway Wicked. Would Megan take over the tour? I feel that KRC rumor has more truth than Megan going back to Broadway. Let alone Wicked... AGAIN!

I'm sure there is somewhere in the fine print that says something to the effect of "In any case you can get a job outside of wicked, you are allowed, but only if you return within 3 months of finishing that job by the producers, casting directors, and anyone else in the crews descretion" or "give us your soul."

Lenny told m,e at the stage door, that Katie would be taking a much needed break from Wicked but she would be returning to the role on Broadway.

I know someone recently said that Dee Roscioli has performed Elphaba the most out of any actress....has Megan performed Glinda the most, or is she at least close? It seems like she is ALWAYS in a company.

Well lets look at it like this
she was s/b and in mid 2005 she took over...
she left in mid 2006
1 year

She then returned to the tour in sept 2006 and left late dec 2006
4 months

Next, she returned again to open LA in feb 2007 and left may 3008
1 year 3 months

Finally, she returned most recently to LA late october of 08 to january 09
2 months, roughly

Total-2 years 9 months of lead Galinda
I think Kendra K beats her tho.

Well, I've seen Wicked 3 times and have to say, Megan Hilty was the best Glinda I saw (did not see Kristin). Saw her in early 2006. A regular paycheck is a regular paycheck, especially in this economy, so I'm not surprised if she goes back.

And really, has she spent as much time doing Wicked as some folks have spent doing Rent?

^ Sure seems like it, though it is a great gig. If they take her, I would go back in a sec If I were her. She has a great fan base, she is still young, its great paying and now is not a great time to risk looking for a job. I know she is running back every few months but it is a job. I would suggest that she go on one of the nat'l's or Bway, if they let her choose. The west coast has had her for almost 2 years. A change would be nice.

I say she should do the First National Tour around May, So I can see it again. lol, Also, Matt Caplin had been with RENT for a GOOD 6 years on and off, If not longer.

His name is George Lee Andrews, and he's spoken about how the show has put his kids through college. Marlene Daniele also did the entire run of Cats.

I would love to see her reprise her 9 to 5 role on tour but it does not look like that will happen
