Megan McGinnis plays Violet in Side Show today

her first run-through. I have nothing to compare it to but thought she was wonderful. Her voice could not have been more perfect paired with Emily Padgett. If there is any negative, it would have to be that she seemed to sparkle and show more personality, but isn't she supposed to be the "duller" one?

I note that Megan isn't listed in the playbill as the understudy. Megan was in on Saturday night. Is Erin out permanenty ala Cheyenne Jackson in Xanadu when he replaced James C but was always listed on the board as the understudy?

Erin is out sick. That's what Emily Padgett told me on Saturday. Erin should be back on this week.

I saw Megan on Sunday and she was wonderful. She looks SO MUCH like Emily it was very cool. She is however about three inches shorter which was just fun to notice if you looked at her shoes. I feel like if you were casting to pair someone with Erin you cast Emily but if you were casting to pair someone with Emily you'd cast Megan. Her voice is great too. I'm really glad I got to see her.

I saw her yesterday and thought she was wonderful. Her harmonies with Emily were beautiful.

I too noticed her shoes!
