"You never know until you read the script."
The problem is, she's used to performing Karen off ATROCIOUS scripts. I would question her ability to adequately judge whether the script is good or not.
'Well she's gonna need something to do when her talk-show gets cancelled later this year.'
I'm sure people were saying the same thing about Rosie and Ellen's shows b4 they debuted.

I love Megan and Karen and I love Will and Grace. However, I think it would be really challenging to sustain that humore over a consistent 90min/2hr stretch.

"I'm sure people were saying the same thing about Rosie and Ellen's shows b4 they debuted." No, they weren't.
They were, however, saying that about the "b4" the debut of talk shows hosted by Tempest Bledsoe, Carnie Wilson, Magic Johnson, Chevy Chase and lots of others like Megan.
well..unless you've seen her show..perhaps you should reserve judgement on it until after it airs.

No one was commenting on the quality of her show.
Most talk shows don't make it.
The odds are strongly against hers.
The American public does not even know Megan's public persona. There is no way to judge her show right now. Whenever Megan is mentioned, the discussion digresses to Karen Walker. That character does not define Megan-it is nothing like her.
There will be some considerable time to folks to adjust to and meet the real Megan. She's a dynamic performer who knows how to work a room and talk to people. She will do great in the medium, it's just a question of if it catches on or not. I am hopeful.

Which is what's so completely bizarre about her not only entertaining the notion of playing Karen in a musical but the fact that she would talk about it on the record.
Namo, I agree. When I saw her live recently she bristled whenever someone spoke of Wil & Grace and was very resistant to even going "there". She made it clear in a local interview and was basically giving a warning to the audience to not even expect or hope for a glimpse of Karen. I found her comments about revisiting Karen incongruent to what I have witnessed. But maybe she realized she's needs to lighten up about it. After all, it was the W & G that made her very famous and gave her many professional accolades.
I agree with a lot of you. Megan onstage would be great. I would be curious to see "Karen: The Musical". As long as it was Karen from the first four seasons, NOT the last four.
this is what I say YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lOVE. iT. but: it will have ot be like a limited engagement because once mulally leaves, its over.
I. Love. Megan Mullally.
[For that matter, I love Karen!]
Did anyone here see her on Broadway in 'How to Succeed.." or anything else?
I'd love to see Megan in 'Karen: The Musical' or any type of "one woman show".

I hope she does it! She's so funny!
If not and she still wants to get back on Broadway, she could do so well as Mama Morton in CHICAGO.
