Megan Mullally in 'Karen: The Musical?'

Taken from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly:

"While The Megan Mullally Show marks a break in the actress' sitcom career, it might not mean the end of her beloved Will & Grace role. 'Nobody's ever kept their sitcom character going after the show's off the air,' Mullally claims (although Vicki Lawrence's Mama may beg to differ), so before the talk show came through, Mullally was working on a Broadway production of Karen: The Musical. 'I think it's hilarious,' Mullally says of the idea, promising the project isn't dead, just on hold. 'It's so, like, wrong. You're never supposed to keep [your old character] going.' Suddenly she lets out an uncharacteristically loud laugh, and her eyes take on a familiar gleam. 'But, see, that's what makes me want to keep doing it.' Maybe Karen's still lurking in there somewhere after all."

Why do people with funny ideas for cabaret acts or small Off-Broadway shows always aim for Broadway? Bad idea. Won't work.

I agree hook Karen is nothing without them!

Just seeing Megan on stage again would be good enough for me. I still think that she would make the perfect "Drowsy Chaperone." But to have an entire musical based on her role as Karen I have my doubts on whether it would work or not.
I agree that Jack and Rosario would have to be in it.

Anything to bring Megan onstage or play the role of Karen again will do for me!
But I think Jack 2007 will be a better show! :P
