Everything says they go on sale tomorrow, but apparently people have been buying them today on Fandango. Fandango now says sold out.
Anyone know what's going on? Had an alarm set to buy them and peeved as hell!
I had my calendar set for tomorrow as well, but was able to purchase my ticket on Fandango right after seeing this.
I hope it doesn't end up like the 24 hour musical screening where I was the only person in my theater.... Anyone in the DC area going in Germantown?
The tickets have been on sale on Fandago for over a week. It's my understanding that all of the screenings are sold out (or are at least close to it).
It's only the tickets directly through Fathom Events that went on sale today. Outside providers operate separately.

Wait...what? I thought that fathom doesn't go onsale until tomorrow the 13th? But then again you might be in another part of the world where it's already the 13th?

somethingwicked must have just mistyped. It happens. They go on sale tomorrow. Really looking forward to it as I can't even get to the page to purchase tickets on fandango for my closest theater.
Fandango says they are for sale at 2 theaters in Metro Detroit and still have tickets available.
My apologies- I meant that the tickets through Fathom Events go on sale tomorrow, not today. And I was referencing only the New York screenings as being sold out.
Thanks to this thread I went to Fandango and got my tickets for one of the Chicago area screenings.
Well, that sucks. All screenings in NYC are indeed sold out. I wonder if they will add any more theaters.

I'm in LA, and managed to get seats today. Maybe some folks back East should visit us and catch it!!! We've got lots of room!!!

Pretty unfair that some of us don't get to go because Fandango put them on sale early. I'm about to go all Aaron Tveit/54 below on their asses...
There are still tickets available at Clifton and Paramus in New Jersey and in New Rochelle.
Don't be so passive. Be a little creative, people. This is SONDHEIM.

There are 2 theaters on Long Island that I had no problem getting tickets at.

As much as I'd like to take one of those options, the cost of the ticket is already a lot for me. The website made an error, and screening should be added to accommodate the people who missed out. My friends and I had alarms set for the 13th at midnight to purchase our tickets.
Oh, well. I'm bummed, but I'll live.
From NYC, can you get to New Rochelle, Paramus or Clifton, by train easily? There are still tickets available at theaters there...

I can. But as much as I'd like to see it, adding all of those expenses up makes it more than a rush ticket to a live show. That's something that eats me up inside. I'm gonna have to suck it up, I guess...
Sometimes they will open up additional theaters for screening closer to the date, so keep checking back. When Fathom screened Singin' in the Rain in theaters for an anniversary celebration, I got to it too late and tickets were sold out. I sent both Fathom and the AMC on 42nd Street requests to open up an additional theater for the screening and they ended up doing it and I was able to get a ticket. It's worth asking and checking back regularly.

Thanks, Cockeyed. If I'd gotten there too late, I would've understand. But they advertised a sale date of 9/13 and put then on sale much earlier. Very frustrating.
I totally get that- it would be worth mentioning that if you contact Fathom, just to give your request more validity than missing out because of your own error.

Fathom Events advertised the tickets as going on sale on 9/13. But Fandango is its own ticketing agency. They don't answer to the same advertising.
That said, I checked their Facebook page and there are many others complaining about this. Fathom's response: "I am sorry but I do not have that info. That is a bummer, I'm sure. I will look into it for you though. Thanks for writing."
Okay, that's definitely cause for concern.
iluvtheatertrash, Fathom Events advertised tickets going on sale through them for September 13th and that's exactly what happened. Fandango is a separate entity and operates accordingly.

Great news! They've added a 7:01 screening and tickets are available. Just nabbed them!

I understand that Fandango is their own entity. But if Fathom Events is the producer of this event, than shouldn't they be available their FIRST? It seems to me that signals got crossed somewhere. It's misleading to advertise it that way.

The 7:01 pm showing had plenty of tickets! Happy that I was able to see this at the Menier Chocolate Factory before it transferred and happy to see it again!
