...It was an odd naming structure anyways, and while I'm sure Michael's investment was needed at the time he partnered with 54, they've never quite been able to get the "class" of the Carlyle or Feinstein's at the Regency.
Has MF remained a hot draw at his 54 Below shows? Previously, he was quoted as saying he only performs in club rooms that bear his name, but I assume his name power has waned a bit in the past decade or so.

Whenever he posts a block of shows at 54 they always say, “book early. Most shows sell out.” Do they? No idea. I saw him once and that was more than enough.
Just my opinion but I also feel he exploits Liza. I know he’s her “good friend” but he posts an awful lot of unflattering photos and footage of her. Some friend.

I'm sure anything he posts is conversed about with her management. But with Liza these days, any video footage isn't going to be particularly flattering. She does not appear to be in a good, healthy place, sadly. Not unlike Elaine Stritch and her memory issues.
He's the one who also opened up about how embarrassed she and her team were about the Oscars incident this year. She was supposed to be seated in a Director's Chair onstage when the lights went up, but then they changed it and had her roll out in a wheelchair, which made her feel embarrassed. She looked lost onstage. Gaga was an ideal "wingman" for Liza, but it was far worse than anything MF has posted.
