Michelle Williams announced that she will be playing Roxie in Chicago on the West End!
Oh dear. I guess her voice is more suited to something like this, but she was out of her league when she tried to play Aida.
I agree with the yawn.
Beyonce and Kelly are talented, but she is just so dull.
Oh, this Michelle Williams!
not this one
since "The former Destiny's Child singer playing Roxie" was such old news I thought it was the other one.
Yeah, I was kinda hoping for the real actress, too. Come back to the stage, Michelle!
Several people seemed to think she was quite good in The Color Purple.

And I own her 1st contemporary gospel CD which I really like. And from what I understand, her 2 CD's very quietly did well on the gospel charts.
If the OTHER Michelle Williams can sing and dance, I actually think she'd be a fascinating and fun choice to play Roxie. You listening Weisslers? :)
I thought it was the movie actress also - and got so excited, I think she could be great there.
I would much prefer the OTHER Michelle Williams.
She's one of Hollywood's most underrated actresses right now.
Oh dear. I guess her voice is more suited to something like this, but she was out of her league when she tried to play Aida.
Acting-wise, yes. But, I found her vocals as Aida to be rather effortless. Williams' doesn't have a huge voice, but she did hit the money notes loud and true.
She was also a fairly competent Shug Avery. I'm sure she'll do little harm to the role of Roxie.
