"Millie" at Hamilton High School in Los Angeles

What a coincidence! I was there tonight too and I must add my praise to Shira's. Hamilton High's Academy of Music was truly fortunate to get the rights to Millie (due to some lucky connections and the school's deserved reputation). Yes, as Shira states, Miss Chloe Tucker sings, dances, and acts the title role to perfection! A petite bundle of talent and charisma. And as Trevor Graydon, Kelly Tatro steals every scene he's in, making the part uniquely his own. Special credit for the outstanding ensemble dancing must be given to choreographer Megan Campbell, a not-so-long-ago Hamilton grad who went on to the Broadway company of Millie, performing the title role a number of times. A big cast, big orchestra, nice sets, and performances several steps above what even good high school productions can achieve, this possibly first non-professional production is a winner, and highly recommended.
