FIRST IN THE BRIEFING: Bonnie Milligan, ChrisSullivan and Ava Briglia will star in a developmental reading of The Bad News Bears musical, based on the 1976 Paramount Studios film with a screenplay by Bill Lancaster. The musical stage adaptation is written by BrianFeinstein & Eric Garcia and directed by SherriEden Barber. The musical is produced by MarissaMcMahon of Kamala Theatrical Productions and General Management, Nathan Gehan and Rebecca Crigler, ShowTown Theatricals.

Just answered my own question: 

Marissa McMahon, the wife of Shane McMahon and daughter-in-law of former WWE CEO Vince McMahon and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, is a producer on "Train Dreams" with the production company she cofounded, Kamala Films. The movie, streaming on Netflix, is a period drama that grabbed four Oscar nominations including best picture.

For me, nothing can touch the original movie. We laughed our butts off at it back then. So much in that movie wouldn't go over well today. Especially half the stuff Tanner says, including the line when the coach introduces the girl to the team. But, we will see. It may be really good!  JMO
