Yet another jukebox show that I have absolutely no interest in seeing lol.
THEATRE 2020: CURTAINS**** LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE GIRLS***** WICKED***** KEITH RAMSAY TAKING NOTES WITH EDWARD SECKERSON***** KAYLEIGH MCKNIGHT CONCERT***** RAGS***** ON MCQUILLAN'S HILL** DEAR EVAN HANSEN***** THE JURY***
Are you f*****g kidding The show is a flop on Broadway and must be ready to close since it's not making any money. Jesus even US Producers see the fact that West End is such a mess that we will watch the crappy jukebox shows.....so stupid
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
There's something very funny about Million Dollar Quartet. I can't find the link but someone on the Broadway board posted a very interesting gossip piece from a blog by a purported show doctor talking about the connections the producers appear to have to get the show all kinds of publicity. Presumably they have friends in high enough places to fund a West End transfer?
If they've got deep enough pockets, the show can keep running on Broadway despite losing money until the perception in the provinces is that it's a success - then it'll do well on tour, because it's a touring audience kind of show. And if they do the same in London...
Well, I do want to see American Idiot. But Rock of Ages is definitely coming next year, whereas it's unknown if American Idiot will ever make it across here. I daren't dream about such things, this is the West End we're talking about.
I didn't care for MDQ much and I suspect it will post a closing notice soon. I really loved Come Fly Away though and I'm disappointed to see it closing on Broadway. I don't know the West End scene but I'm wondering if anyone thinks that a Sinatra dance musical would do well over there. Thoughts?
I agree DeNada, I wish Rock of Ages would hurry up and announce when it is coming! I'm seeing it again in New York because im worried London might be called off.
I guess MDQ might do well in London, it is perfect what what audiences are going for nowadays.
I cannot see MDQ coming to London, it will not do the business, the only way it could worl it this toured the UK, then played London for a limited period.
I agree with American Idiot doing a European tour, this would be a shrewd move, as this show wouldn't do the necessary business to do a sit dow tour in London and Green Day are pretty much big over Europe, say this show played London for 4 months, then moved to Paris for 3 months, then Barcelona for 2 months, then Madrid for 3 months, then Manchester for 1 month etc
