Posted: 4/23/13 at 12:11amAll I'm saying is that it NEEDS to happen. Bring it back and 3 of the best London musicals will be back on the Great White Way. I was never a big fan of Cats but I guess it might do well also, I just don't know why Saigon has been gone for so long, well over 10 years and one of the greatest in my opinion, thoughts???

Posted: 4/23/13 at 12:18amIsn't it being revived in London on the cheap? I'm sure Cameron will find a way for that production to make its way to Broadway after it tours a la Les Miz.

Posted: 4/23/13 at 12:40amSee I didn't even know there was a tour, Mackintosh might as well do what he did with Les Miserables and bring Saigon back after the tour since he's already made plans to make the film.

Posted: 4/23/13 at 10:48am^RIGHT?! I just don't understand Neil Patrick Harris coming out in a Kimono flying a toy helicopter and singing "Music In My Mind". It made no sense at all but the audience seemed to love it.

I hope they hire a new set designer.
While the original production had very distinctive sets, for example the Dreamland bar, the wooden "last night of the world" set with the bed and fan.
In the revival production the sets were extremely messy and the song "last night of the world" took place on a black stage with some props and a tiny round bar, looking very amateurish.
The rest of act one took place on a black stage with some iron stairs.
This show really needs epic, theatrical sets.

Signature Theatre in Virginia is doing it later this summer. They did amazing things with Les Mis a few years ago, so I'm really looking forward to it.
