In 1981 I was lucky enough to see Peter hall's stunning production of the Orestian Trilogy at the National Theater in London, all three shows in one day. I can't tell you how many times I had tears in my eyes at the engrossing, emotionally charged work of art the was unfolding before my eyes. Honestly, that day changed my world - I walked out of the Olivier that night vowing to work in theater.

More recently - the sunrise effect in Lion King - simple, basic stagecraft made me well up. The understated beauty of simplicity beats out "flash and trash" every time.
I have the normal ones-
ICY(R) & depending on the performers - Without you - RENT
I Miss the Music - Curtains (not crying but definitely stirred emotions)
All of the end of "Journey's End"
The end of Billy Elliott had be choked up a little, same as scenes in SITPWG.
"Fallen Angel" - Jersey boys - blubbering like a baby
"A Little Fall of Rain" from Les Misérables
I Have a Love and anything past that in West Side Story, especially the final monologue.
I'll Cover You (Reprise) from RENT
The finale to Act I of Fiddler on the Roof.

I am a Broadway fan who lives in the deep south. So any time I get the chance to sit in my seat in a Broadway theatre to read my Playbill and wait for the lights, I get, if not choked up, quite the little thrill. There's nothing like it for me.
Having said that, the curtain call at "Journey's End" devasted me. Openly sobbed. Could not leave my seat for 15 minutes. It was a combination of the beautiful performances, the juxtaposition of English manners and the brutality of war, and the ultimate waste of war. What an incredible theatre experience.
I cry in a lot of shows, not because they're sad but because I'm get blown away by the performance!
-in RENT when Angel dies
-in Wicked when they sing For Good and when Elphaba goes into the air for Defying Gravity
-in Dreamgirls when Effie is finishing And I am Telling You..
-In Jersey Boys when Frankie's daughter get shot and they sing Fallen Angel

Oh God. So many but off the top of my head
Rent-Angel's death and when Mimi tried to grab Roger during Goodbye Love. So sad.
Les Mis- I am not the biggest fan of this show but fantine's death made me cry
Sweeney Todd- The scene where Sweeney discovers the begger is his wife.
Wicked- Elphie's "death" with Glinda sobbing.
Thats all I can think of.
I'm a sap to begin with but here are the ones that get me:
1. Sound of Music: when the Mother Abbess signs "Climb Every Mountain" to Maria.
2. King and I: when the cast is singing "Something WOnderful" and the King dies.
3. West Side Story: when Tony is shot and Maria runs to him and then goes after Chino and the rest of the group with her speech about hate.
4. Light in the Piazza: when Fabrizio sings "Love to Me" to Clara
5. Mary Poppins: during "Anything Can Happen" and when she flies over the audience at the end of the show (this is more because I love to see the look in children's eyes when they see her fly)
6. Les Miserables: when Fantine dies, when Eponine dies, and when Valjean sings "Bring Him Home"
7. Gypsy: when Louise says "Momma, I'm pretty."
8. Wicked: when Glinda and Elphaba sing "For Good."
9. South Pacific: when you find out Cable has died and when Emile shows up at the end when Nellie is signing with his children.
10. A Chorus Line: when Paul tells his story about coming to terms with his sexuality
I'm sure there are more but those are my top 10.
