I know this isn't really Broadway related, but whatever. I went to the Drama Bookshop today and asked for some help and the guy gave me two monologues, but I wasn't really a fan and ended up only buying "Some Men" by Terrence McNally.

I need a few monologues to look at, preferably comedic (no Neil Simon). I'm also looking for something shocking perhaps? Anything is good though.

I'm 19. Male. So that should narrow things a bit. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Comedic: There is one from Tom Stoppard's "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour". It's pretty crazy and EXTREMELY linguistically challenging, but if you nail it, it's a great piece.

Either one of the Sam Byck monologues from Assassins might fit.

Anything by Labute? Worth taking a look at "reasons to be pretty" and some others. Also, Kenneth Lonergan has some great monologues. Good luck!
