re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

Cincinnati has good luck on getting shows the first year out. They usually announce on Easter Sunday, so hopefully I'll know this weekend.
9/10 - Next To Normal, Ensemble Theatre
9/18 - Brian Stokes Mitchell, Cincy Pop's
9/28 - Death Of A Salesman, Wright State

You want DSM to go from Lion King for the State Fair last year to Spring Awakening next year? I wouldn't expect that edgy of a show to be used as the State Fair show, especially considering it has to be able to fill up seats for a month long run.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

Yeah if Spring Awakening does come to Dallas it would come in the Contemporary Series during the winter season. They wouldn't put it in the regular summer season.

The infamously rude Lizzie Currie strikes again.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

yup...got the news yesterday...we will have it here in Tempe, AZ...along with some other crappy shows (namely Rat Pack and Happy Days), and some ok shows (Chorus Line, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Lion King)...now I can only think is 9 months until I get to see Spring Awakening!!

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

Several of the roles have been cast but don't expect any official announcement of the list for a while yet.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

The majority have been cast.

A lot are up-and-coming youngsters from top musical theatre programs in College.

Very exciting fresh performers... should be marvelous, darling.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

I believe they still need to cast a few swings and maybe a principle part or two and are waiting till after the NY call, then they will finish casting.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

you don't need to tell me, Jake!

I said the MAJORITY of the show has been cast.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

I wasn't telling you, I was telling Evie which roles I heard hadn't been cast yet. I understood exactly what you said.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

They haven't cast a Wendla yet.

And some distant relative better not come on here claiming their "second cousin" got cast as Wendla.... because, my dear, that would be a big lie.

VERY diverse cast. there is an African-American, an Asian, and Hispanic in three of the featured roles. I'm excited. let's mix it up baby.

re: More Spring Awakening Tour Stops?

Yeah, I've heard they're looking for a Wendla and a Wendla swing. I heard some rumors about a certain cast member coming back to star in the tour, but I think they were just that: rumors. So I guess we'll see pretty soon after the open call.
