Interesting artical in Variety about how busy 2011 is lining up in London. Includes Me & My Girl, Million Dollar, Rock of Ages, Lend Me a Tenor, Five Guys Named More, Clydbourne Season and Mame. Also about expected closures on Sweet Charity (confirmed) and Dirty Dancing.

Mame? I didn't know that this was anything more than a bried hint by Jerry Herman...

What about South Pacific!?

"Somebody said they're auditioning for South Pacific?"

Anyone wanna guess what musical the above quote is from? (Except luke-h*** :P)

Ooooh, do hope Clybourne Park transfers to the Wyndhams. Then I might actually remember to go and see it.

Moe is unlikely at this stage; although the show extended in Stratford I think a further run would be unwise.

Didn't realise Rebecca offers had gone out! Really can't wait, even if just to see what they've replaced Wir Sind Britisch and I'm An American Woman with...

Can't summon up much interest in any of these to be honest apart from Mame - and it's hardly a certainty that will happen. So not looking forward to 2011 in London that much - thank God there's a fantastic spring season in prospect in New York!

Actually the article says Dirty Dancing is far from closing thanks to new cast/campaign =(. Rock of Ages would fit perfectly into the Aldwych.

Will be very interesting to see if all these new shows and transfers do come about next year.

Also, what happened to Wishful Drinking?

Oh ok thought it had gone quiet. Thought it was aiming to open in this Autumn season but obviously not.

And I still await Rock of Ages. Had my fix in NYC but need it in London haha.

Apparently lots of shows are checking out The Aldwych... but MDQ looks set to go in there as its being produced by Nederlander.

Looking forward to Tenor and Me and My Girl.

Mame, I have heard some fantastic things but its all dependent on some many variables - but I hope it happens!!

With the exception of Flashdance, my underwhelmed response to that list is "whoopdi-f***ing-doo!" lol
