We all have that one really special piece of Broadway or theatre memorabilia - I would love to hear about yours and the story behind why it's so special to you!
Hmm...
Probably the mock-up title card for ANYONE CAN WHISTLE (at the time, titled SIDE SHOW). It's really unique, I paid $3 for it, and I found it at a really awesome theatre festival after having won awards earlier that afternoon. I framed it and hung it in my room, and I will continually refuse to give it away.
I have a vinyl record of the Original Broadway cast of Oklahoma, which is amazing and which I have framed. I also have a window card to Rent, which I love because it's my favorite show ever.
I bought the tea tray from THE SEAFARER at the Broadway Flea Market a few years ago. It's the one from the production, and is signed by each of the 5 cast members
It was frightfully expensive, but every time I look at it I can see Sharky carrying tea in for Ivan, or tidying up the livingroom and using it to carry empty beer cans
It makes me smile every day
A large poster from a charity tribute to Mary Martin ("Our Hearts Belong to Mary") held at the Shubert Theater in New York in 1985.
The poster is signed by Mary Martin.
A roll of Urinetown toilet paper signed by the replacement cast.
Either my Sunday in the Park with George playbill signed by Bernadette Peters or my Gypsy playbill signed by Patti LuPone, both inscribed to me.
My 'Next to Normal' windowcard signed by the entire closing cast, including understudies.
My "A Little Night Music" poster signed both by Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch.
My Playbill from from Alice Ripley's final performance in Next to Normal. It's signed by everyone (including understudies), except for Jennifer Damiano.

My OBC Chorus Line playbill signed (and personalized) by Donna McKechnie.
I have a hand-written first draft of one of the songs from SIDE SHOW that includes a note from Bill Russell.
I also have the sketch of Dot that Daniel Evans drew on stage every night in the revival of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, signed by Evans.
They're special to me because they are unique items and are from two of my absolute favorite shows.
I love all of these! :) Especially the Side Show draft...that's so cool.
My Next to Normal libretto is signed by 14 cast members, Tom Kitt, and Brian Yorkey (inscribed to me!). I will cherish it until time ends. I also have a music box signed by Marin and Alice which is special to me, but the libretto is probably my most prized possession. (Next to Normal changed my life in the most positive ways, making any piece of that experience incredibly significant to me).
And I have a My Fair Lady vinyl that is hanging in my dad's house and it makes me smile whenever I look at it. :)
I have a few things that are special to me. From NEXT FALL, I have the "ass photo" and one of the Rothko's that hung in the waiting room, a signed CHORUS LINE program from The Public signed by Donna & Marvin, Richard O'Brien signed ROCKY HORROR windowcard and a whole lot mote I can't think of now.
When I saw LuPone's Gypsy front row center, perhaps the greatest moment in my life, after she tore up the note from Baby Jane at the end of act 1, I grabbed a piece of it during intermission.
Side note: She also touched my knee for balance when she walked up the little staircase at the front of the stage when she took the stage from the audience in the opening.
Mine would have to be either my original production of A Little Night Music opening night playbill signed by Stephen Sondheim or my entire OBC signed Spring Awakening poster.
$3.00 huge poster of Orig. FOLLIES (from a tchotchka store at 48th/Bway - 1971), finally signed 30 yrs. later by Mr. Sondheim on March 22, 2001:"DEAR E- "W"ERE STILL HERE!!" (during FOLLIES Revival at the Belasco Theatre). Had a chance to chat with him, and found out exactly where that "bathysphere" lyric in "I'm still here" came from. Clue: 1939. Lovely, humble man - had a coupla drinks at Cafe 123 once w/him.

I also have a misprinted mini-poster for THE WIZ where it claims to be going to the Broadway instead of the Majestic.
Costume from original production of ACL.
I also have a misprinted mini-poster for THE WIZ where it claims to be going to the Broadway instead of the Majestic.
It did move to The Broadway Theatre after originating at The Majestic didn't it?

Numerous playbills but most of all memories of the times I saw that show.
A collectible paper doll of Patti LuPone as Evita, autographed by Patti.
I have the original cast recording of Damn Yankees on vinyl that I got from my grandma. She got a lot of vinyl at flea markets lately. I should really go to one.

YOu're right. I meant Winter Garden. Gypsy extended it's run, and The Wiz took the Majestic away from Mack and Mabel.
