When Bob Cuccioli (as Henry) was painting Matt Cavenaugh (as Dorian) in "Dorian - The musical. Saw it 3 times here in Denver.
Contact from Rent is the farthest thing from erotic for me. It's downright disturbing if you look past the fact that they're shouting out sexual words.
My first thought was also "A Call from the Vatican," followed by "Happiness" in Passion and "Say It Somehow" from Light in the Piazza, but there are definitely less blatantly sexual songs in theater that are extremely erotic. Chemistry and subtext are everything. "Shall We Dance?" from The King and I is a great example.

""I think a lot of you are missing the point of what an erotic scene truly is. Erotic is something that evokes a sexual feeling, or where there is an underlying feeling of sexual tension, but not something that blatantly shouts "WE'RE HAVING SEX!".""
THAT'S what I'm talkin about!!
That's why I like Dangerous Game. I saw it pre Broadway when it was soooo much better than when they changed it all for Broadway (in my opinion) The dance they do is so erotic, and though there is some "touching" it still implies much more than was going on. And when Linda Eder straddled him at the end and he flipped her up-side-down...well...still thinking about it!

A Little Night Music is all about who's sleeping with who.
But I have to say the most erotic thing I have EVER seen on a Broadway stage involved a living statue in a certain Disney musical.
It was, . . . distracting, to say the least.
I know it's not a musical, but the end of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is the hottest thing I have ever seen.
"Contact" from RENT has some pretty graphic lyrics.
Spring Awakening has many moments.
Cabaret is dirty but in an entertaining way.
LittleFish8386, thanks for so eloquently stating the difference between graphic sexuality (i.e. "stage porn") and eroticism.
I'd like to nominate the end of "Going Places" from Grey Gardens. As the young Joe Kennedy and Little Edie sing about their future they get closer and more intimate with each other. The last line before a black out is "we're going all the way" and it's clear this has a dual meaning. This wouldn't be so interesting if the scene was set in the present day, but it's powerful stuff for 1941.
The look on Erin Davie's face at that moment is the most erotic thing I've seen on Broadway recently.
In a show filled with eroticism, I really felt that the "Lowdown-Down" scene from the Broadway "The Wild Party" was so hot. It was a honest outpouring of emotion and I wanted to jump the bones of my boyfriend during that scene.
Instead, I just let the tears run down my face and make the old man next to me more uncomfortable that he'd ever been at the theatre.

I agree with sweetestsiren about "Contact."
Anyone else feel that "I'd Be Surprisingly Good for You" from Evita is so hot? Especially in the movie. Mmmm.
"Personally, that moment near the beginning of 'One Day More' in 'Les Mis' when Enjolras runs on wearing that f***ing sexy costume. Does it for me every time!
I almost died when I saw Aaron Lazar as Enjolras in that moment.
One of the most erotic moments for me in Les Mis is when Marius and Enjolras first enter during "Look Down". I wasn't really crazy about Adam Jacob's Marius, but the sight of him and Aaron Lazar together on that bridge... whoa... "
I concur!! with it all!!!
Look here. The Light in the Piazza is like soft-core porn through and through. It's just too beautiful.

I love "Look Down" from Les Mis.
I think a lot of you are missing the point of what an erotic scene truly is. Erotic is something that evokes a sexual feeling,
By that definition - Adam Pascal doing "One Night in Bangkok" from the Actor's Fund Chess Concert, I cant even lie

... but do you think "Look Down" is an erotic moment? (Really?)
No. I just like Aaron Lazar on the bridge.

I dont think Look Down is erotic, no. But I can see why she likes the image!
I'm trying to think of more...I kind of love "Elaborate Lives" from Aida

Well, I was kind of under the impression that we were listing songs and moments that were "erotic" due to the content rather than the performers in select productions involved (I mean, in that case, let me throw in every single time Michael Cerveris opened his mouth in Sweeney Todd), but I guess whatever floats your boat...
I'd agree with "Elaborate Lives" and also throw in "Mein Herr" from Cabaret, although I think erotic might be a bit too strong of a word for it (or a lot of these examples, really). "Sexy" seems more appropriate, I think.

We were, we just got on a tangent I think
And yeah, erotic is so specific a term that I think I'm out of contributions, hehe. Sexy is definitely more fitting. I forgot about Mein Herr from Cabaret, thats a good one too
i agree with whoever said it's very much in the subtlety of the lyrics or the swell of the voice and/or orchestra. for different people i think different voices and lyrical moments can stir those passionate feelings and leave them panting for more. for some of us live theatre itself is erotic!!
for me, personally, i think brian stokes mitchell's voice evokes so much passion and it always stirs me up! I love in the middle of "New Music" when he calls out for Sarah...with the orchestrations and his thunderous voice I just have to listen again and again. For me, it's the appeal of that very confident, in control character expressing his one flaw of being absolutely under the power of another human being. It's romantic and erotic all at once.
Also, i love little teasing numbers like "People Will Say We're in Love" and "Light My candle"...but "Dangerous Game" is also great because it takes you deep inside the mind into these carnal desires that you're afraid for these two characters to be having for each other. it's hot
The steamiest moment that I ever witnessed onstage was in the original cast of "Sunday in the Park with George" during "Color and Light". When Bernadette and Robert Westenberg sang "I could look at him/her forever!" and the music swells and they look at each other for the first time during the song.
It was steamy.
Then she asks, "Shall I wear mt red dress or blue?"
And he answers "Red" in this really raspy, gutteral, lust-filled tone.
It was hot.
Now, those are some erotic moments! How about the end of If I Loved You in Carousel, when Julie Jordan talks about the flowers just comin' down by theirselves...I remember when I did this scene in HS I was all hot and bothered by it.
Weez-- I'm curious, how do they stage "that scene" in the Donmar KOTSW? I've never seen the play live, and have read several descriptions about how the scene can be staged...
