In addition to the email notification mentioned above, if you turn on notifications from the TodayTix app they'll alert you. I have to say, you've got to be lightning fast. There's obviously no telling how many tickets there are, but I hit the button immediately and missed out. Certainly a small sample size and they could very well stagger the notifications, but the tickets clearly go fast."
Same thing happened to me today.
Just got an email from ArtsBoston and they have a discount through BosTix for 30% off the 7/22 evening performance. It is only for this performance, but I think this is the start of something.

Definitely try for a Wednesday matinee if you can. The theater was very empty yesterday afternoon, including several unsold seats in row A of the center dress and 2 seats in front of me in row C were empty the entire time as well. The price went down a couple days before and no one scoopedn them up. There were huge blocks of the side dress that went completely unsold.
Weekday matinees seldom do well in Boston. I didn't remember seeing that there WERE any, but I wasn't really looking for them, eitherl.

Yeah, there are a couple Wednesday matinees throughout the run. It's just not a great time for me commute-wise (I'm well south of the city, even though I work there).
I won the TodayTix lottery for yesterday's matinee, and they gave me dress circle F 108. Considering how undersold the show was, I wasn't surprised that I got such a good seat.

That is why I had to post it. Never say never. I have a feeling more of the weeknight performances will be getting discounted...I will keep my eye out!

Supply and demand at its finest. Prices were astronomical.
Hey there, what time and how did you find out that you won the lottery?
